Respect Paying Ceremony: Aged retired law officers are paid respect

Respect Paying Ceremony of Myanmar Retired Law Officers’ Association took place at Yangon Region Advocate General Office on Sunday.

The members (Retired law officers) of the association and officials from Yangon Region Advocate General Office paid respect to the Senior Retired Law Officers with honor and listened to the admonishment and valuable wishes at the special occasion. 

Vice Chairman, Myanmar Retired Law Officers Association, Win Myint said "In 2014, Working Committee was formed through respect paying ceremony that we have done. By the effort of the committee, in 2017, we got the official registration certificate for the establishment of association. The aim of the association is to gather all the retired law officers who served for long service years throughout the country annually, to support social affairs of them including their health and of course for our mother department. Likewise, it is to support outstanding children of the members’ offspring for their education."

The annual respect paying ceremony has silenced for 2 years because of COVID-19 outbreak and now this is the very first time celebrating back in person.

Vice Chairman, Myanmar Retired Law Officers Association, Win Myint said "At the initial stage, we had around 30 aged senior retired law officers to be respected, but due to the time being, we have the number of 14 now, for those who can’t attend toady will be paid respect in person also."

At present, over 400 members under the association and it is planned to expand branches throughout the country as it is disseminating legal literacy following the instructions of the advocate general office for the people and career related ones.
