Paying homage to Buddha Image: SAC Chairman paid homage Buddha Image and Ceti

Chairman  of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla together with the Presiding Sayadaw of Thila Dhamma Konetha Tawya monastery Agga Maha Saddhammajotikadhaja Baddanta Kovida (Wasi Peik Sayadaw), Council Joint-secretary and wife, Council members and wives, Union Ministers and wives, Shan State Chief Minister and wife, Commander of Triangle Region Command and officials paid homage to the Abhayarajamuni Buddha Image and Sattasattaha Mahabodhi Ceti in the Buddha Park in Kengtung Township, Shan State (East) in the morning on Saturday.

First, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister and wife paid homage to the Abhayarajamuni Buddha Image, offeted flower, water and candle lights, paying homage to the Ceti in clock-wise direction and viewed the Buddha’s life stories carving on marble stones around the cave of the Ceti.

Next, the SAC Chairman, wife and members viewed the scenic beauties of Kengtung Region from the view point in the Buddha Park, looked the implementation of Thila Dhamma Charity clinic and construction of Thila Dhamma Hospital and gave necessary instructions upon the reports of the responsible persons.

Then, the SAC Chairman, wife and members paid homage to the Sattasattaha Mahabodhi Ceti in the Buddha Park and offered the flower, water and lamps. Next, the SAC Chairman and wife offered collective cash donation for the all-round renovation of the Ceti and the Chairman of Pagado board of trustee U Khin Maung Kyi accepted the donation.

Later, the SAC Chairman and members paid homage to the Buddha Image at the upper terrace of the Maha Bodhi Ceti and paying respect to the Ceti in clock-wise direction. Then, they also paid homage to the four Holy Buddhist Pilgrimage sites.

Later, the SAC Chairman, wife and members arrived at the construction sites for erecting Loka-Tharaphu Buddha image in the Buddha Park, inspected the preparation works, gave necessary supplemented suggestions on the remark of the Wasi-Peik Sayadawgyi and gave necessary instructions on the reports of the responsible officials.

The Abhayarajamuni Buddha Image and Sattasattaha Mahabodhi Ceti were erected under the leading of Wasi-Peik Sayadawgyi with the collective donation of the well-wishers led by the SAC Chairman and the Sasana propagation works are being carried out at the Shan State (East) Region and Kengtung Region, it’s learnt.
