Resettlement of IDPs: IDPs In Puta-O and Myitkyina Tsps Returned Homes

The Kachin State Government arranges necessaries for the IDPs from Sutpiyang Village-Tract and Lonsharyang Village-tract in Puta-O District to Myitkyina Township due to the security reasons to resettle in their villages.

They were gathered at Manaw ground in Sitapu Ward of Myitkyina Township and transported them to their villages at 8:30 a.m. on 27th April. The Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and state ministers, state advocate general, departmental officials, bishops and pastors from the Christian Churches and responsible officials cordially greeted the IDPs, provided snacks and purified drinking water bottles to have on the way, cash assistance for the senior citizens and mothers of the children and one bag of rice per household and coordinated necessaries with the religious leaders and responsible officials for the smooth trip.

Afterward, the Kachin State Chief Minister greeted and gave words of encouragement to the men returnees from the People’s Republic of China through Kanpaitee border gate who shelter in Quarantine center established in the indoor stadium of the district sports and physical education department  and women returnees who shelter in Quarantine center established Thitagu Eye Hospital and provided 300,000 Kyats of cash assistance to the mothers of small children and expectant mothers, also cash assistance tot the departmental staff who care the returnees and coordinated necessaries with the officials to fulfill the requirements.
