Resettlement: Aid provided to relocated households in Myitkyina area

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and officials provided assistance to 6 households who were relocated at their request to Ngwe Pyaw Smart Village in Myitkyina.

There, in his speech, the Chief Minister said there will be needs in the new location, but the State Government will do its best to help.

Also, member of the Township Administration Council explained completion of resettlement arrangements in the village and resettlement arrangements for the families who wish to resettle.

There, the relocated persons with provided with rice, instant noodle, eggs, cash, emergency aid, face shields, hand sanitizer, mosquito nets, masks, medicines, teaching aid, umbrellas, Hygiene Kit, Shelter Tools Kit, Individual Hygiene Kit, cooking oil, toys for children and drinks.

The Village Administrator expressed words of thanks for the provision of assistance and reported on requirements in the Village.

In his Response, the Chief Minister discussed with concerned officials to pave the middle road of the village as an asphalt road, to repair and construct drainage canals to prevent flooding during the rainy season and to provide electricity meters for homes.

The Chief Minister also inspected drainage system in the village and met with the relocated families and coordinated to meet the needs.
