Rescue Operation : Individuals aboard the sunken fishing boat rescued

The Myanmar Navy and Myanmar Coast Guard carried out a rescue operation for people aboard a fishing boat that was sank on water in Myanmar’s territorial waters.

Fishing boat “Toe Toe Lwin (99)” sank in Myanmar waters, approximately 80 nautical miles southeast of Yangon, at around 6:20 a.m. on September 10. According to local reports, a Tatmadaw (Navy) vessel and Myanmar Coast Guard personnel rescued individuals aboard the boat, together with local fishing boats, while conducting maritime security operations.

The rescued individuals received necessary medical treatment and are being well cared for. Plans are underway to verify the necessary information for their handover to the relevant authorities in accordance with procedures.
