Rescue and Resettlement Programs: MoTC sends departmental staffs to Sittway

The Very Severe Cyclonic Storm “MOCHA” passed through Myanmar’s coast near Sittway on Sunday, and the incident caused losses and damages. 

In order to carry out delivery of aid and relief items to Rakhine State in a timely manner, to install the necessary equipment including runway lights to be used Sittwe Airport at any time and to be restore communications as soon as possible and provide smooth transportation, a total of 36 departmental heads, officials and staff of the departments under Ministry of Transport and Communications were sent to Sittway by Myanmar National Airlines on Monday.
