Rescue and Relief Measures: Assistance provided to flood-hit vicitms in Shan State (East)

Rescue and relief measures have been provided to the flood victims in Kengtung and Tachileik of Shan State (East) on Saturday. Due to the heavy rain which caused the swelling of river water starting Friday night, some wards and villages in Kengtung and Tachileik were inundated.
Members of local battalion, Myanmar Police Force, Fire Brigade, social organizations and local people are working together for evacuation and relief measures. Medicines and foodstuff were also provided for the affected victims.
