Union Election Commission, through Announcement No. 38/2026, pursuant to Article 132 of the Amyotha Hluttaw Election By-Law, has announced the replacement of the vacant seat in Ayeyawady Region Amyotha Hluttaw Constituency No. 1 (Proportional Representation System).
The vacancy was left by Representative No. (7), U Myint Kyaing from the Union Solidarity and Development Party. In accordance with the priority list submitted by the relevant political party, U Pyone Cho has been appointed as the substitute.
Through Announcement No. 39/2026, pursuant to Article 132 of the Region or State Hluttaw Election By-Law, the vacant seats in Region or State Hluttaw Proportional Representation Constituencies have been filled. According to the priority list submitted by the relevant political parties, Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye (Hpa-an Township, Representative No. 2, Union Solidarity and Development Party) is replaced by U Aung Myint Thein (Hpa-an Township, Representative No. 2, Union Solidarity and Development Party) and U Htin Kyaw Thu (Mayangone Township, Representative No. 2, Union Solidarity and Development Party) is replaced by U Aung Pyay Phyo (Mayangone Township, Representative No. 2, Union Solidarity and Development Party).
Through Announcement No. 40/2026, in accordance with a notification under Section 33 of the Region or State Hluttaw Election Law regarding a request to change the name of a Tatmadaw Personnel representative to the Region or State Hluttaw, for the Taninthayi Region Hluttaw Tatmadaw Personnel representative, Colonel Thein Zaw Myint (Army 31667) is replaced by Colonel Yan Gyi Aung (Army 33135). These announcements were made on April 29, and are signed by the Chairman of the Union Election Commission, U Than Soe.
