Renovation Works: Discussion on the renovation of Shwemawdaw Pagoda

Chief Minister of Bago Region U Myo Swe Win, led a meeting at the Shwemawdaw Pagoda in Bago on Sunday, to discuss the renovation of the steel framework inside the pagoda. The meeting was attended by engineers from the Myanmar Engineering Council and officials.

The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of conducting detailed inspections and ensuring the renovation work addresses earthquake safety concerns, as Bago is in an earthquake-prone area. He also discussed the necessary steps to maintain the pagoda's structural integrity, including weatherproofing and reinforcement measures.

After the meeting, the Chief Minister inspected the renovation works of various religious edifices.
