Religious Examinations: Pahtama Pyan exam to be held from 7th to 13th May

The Government Dhamma Sariya examinations have started from 30th April at the exam centers in respective townships all over the country and Pali Pahtaman Pyan exams will be held in coming May 7th.

41 exam centers have been prepared in Yangon Region for the Pali Pahtama Pyan examination. The Pali Pahtama Pyan exam is annually held and jointly conducted by the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee and the Region/State/ Township Sangha Nayaka Committees.

Tun Myint Oo, Director, Department of Religious Affairs, Yangon Region said "There are 3 Buddha Sasana in Myanmar that are Pari Yatti, Pati Patti and Pati Vedha Sasana and Pari Yatti Sasana is the basic Sasana to flourish other two religious sasanas in future. That’s why, Sayadaws and monks are accelerating the teaching of these Pari Yatti religious literatures in various monasteries. The Pahtama Pyan exams are annually conducted under the instruction of respective Sangha Organizations and also provided assistance by the relevant Administrative bodies."

The Pahtama Pyan examinations will be held from 7th to 13th May at the exam centers of various townships and there will be 239 centers across the country.
