







The National Defence and Security Council organized a ceremony to offer Kathina Robe at Aggha Dipadi Sasana Beikmandawgyi in the compound of Maravijaya Buddha Park on Thursday.
Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife attended the event. Prior to the ceremony, the Acting President and wife paid homage to the Buddha Image, and offered emerald alms bowl, flower, water, light and fruits.
They then viewed the display of donated offertories. The ceremony later commenced with the three times recitation of Namotasa, and the congregation took nine precepts from the Chairman of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, Patron Sayadaw of Thanlyin Min Kyaung Monastery, followed by the sermons delivered by the members of the Sangha.
The Acting President and wife then donated Kathina Robe and offertories to the Thanlyin Min Kyaung Monastery Sayadaw and the Sayadaw of Sein Yaza Sasana Linkara Sarthintaik in Nay Pyi Taw Pobbathiri Township. This was followed by donations of Kathina Robes and offertories by Vice Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Vice Senior General Soe Win and wife, Commission member Prime Minister U Nyo Saw and wife, Commission member Executive Chief U Aung Lin Dwe and wife, Commission Secretary Joint Executive Chief General Ye Win Oo and wife, commission members and their wives, union level personnel, the Union Ministers and senior military officers from the Commander-in-Chief Office.
The Congregation later listened to the sermons delivered by the member of Nay Pyi Taw Sangha Nayaka Committee, Ngwe Taung Tawya Monastery Sayadaw of Tatkone, the Secretary of State Sangha Central Working Committee, Ohn Taw Monastery of Pyinmana and the Secretary of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, Masoyein Taik Thit Sayadaw.
Then, the congregation shared the merits gained, followed by offering of day meal to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha. Over 167 million kyat worth of donations were made during the Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony by the National Defence and Security Council.
