Religious & Culture Affairs: Paying respects to Sayadaw, making inspections in Yangon

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko visited the Min Kyaung Prathama Pyan monastery in Thanlyin Township of Yangon Region.

During the visit, the Union Minister paid respects to State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee member, Presiding Sayadaw Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Dr. Candima Bhivamsa of the monastery, asked about health condition of the Sayadaw, supplicated the religious matters and offered offertories and 3 million Kyats to the Sayadaw.

Also, on July 16, the Union Minister in his capacity as Chairman of the Central Committee on Organizing the 75th Martyrs' Day inspected preparations for holding the 75th Martyrs' Day at the Martyrs' Mausoleum in Bahan Township of Yangon Region and gave necessary instructions. 

On the same day, the Union Minister visited the Kabaaye press house in Mayangone Township and inspected press processes for 53 books [40 copies] of the the Sixth Synod in Pali which completed the review and editing of the Pali Tripiṭaka compiled in Myanmar and Roman character and gave necessary instructions.
