Religious Ceremony: Hoisting the Diamond Orb and Golden Umbrella

A religious ceremony to hoist the Diamond Orb and Golden Umbrella atop the Bo Panta Hill Maha Wuntha Bodh Gaya Pagoda took place on Saturday morning. This ceremony in Kyauk Ta Lone Gyi Township in southern Shan State began with chanting Namotassa, taking 9 precepts and reciting sermons.

Members of the Sangha, member of the State Council U Khun San Lwin, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye, Chairman of the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone Administration Body and many other officials as well as well-wishers took part in this religious ceremony to hoist the Diamond Orb and Golden Umbrella atop the Bo Panta Hill Maha Wuntha Bodh Gaya Pagoda in the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone.
