Religious and cultural matters: Meeting of Sasana universities administrative body held

The State Sanghamahanayaka Committee, the central administrative body of State Pariyatti Sasana Universities held a meeting (2/2022) at convocation ordination hall of State Pariyatti Sasana University (Yangon) in Kabaaye hillock, Yangon at 9 a.m. on Friday.

At the meeting, vice chairman of State Sanghamahanayaka Committee, vice chairman (1) of central administrative body of State Pariyatti Sasana Universities AggamahapanditaBaddantaKawwida delivered an opening address.

Next, the Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko reported religious matters including Sasana Universities (Yangon/Mandalay) have reached 36 years, the teaching system and curriculum of the universities, degrees conferred by the universities.

Then, the secretary of central administrative body, director general of Sasana Propagation Department took the approve of meeting minute of meeting (1/2022) and reported the decisions made by the meeting (1/2022). Afterward, the members of Sangha and lay persons discussed the religious matters, approved 12 decisions and the presiding Sayadaw gave conclusion address. 

Then, the members of Sangha were offered the offertories. In the afternoon, the union minister held discussion with the chairman of Myanmar theatrical Organization (Central) at the meeting room of the department of religious affairs, Kabaaye hillock.

At the meeting, the union minister said that as the Independence Day which will fall on January 4, 2023 is coincided with the diamond jubilee, it will be organized in grand scale.

As a program hailing the diamond jubilee Independence Day, a variety performance show participated by the film, music, theatrical artistes. To hold the variety performance show successfully, this meeting is held to discuss matters in detail.

Then, the attendees including the chairman of Myanmar theatrical Organization gave necessary suggestions and the union minister coordinated necessaries.

Later, the union minister met with the chairman and members of Myanmar theatrical Organization, discussed the matters on variety performance show participated by the film, music, theatrical artistes with gesture of hailing the diamond jubilee Independence Day and the chairman and members discussed the related sectors to participate in the variety performance show, it’s learnt.
