Religious Affairs: Union Minister Meets With Treasurer's Board Of Trustees

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U KoKo on Wednesday paid homage to the Shwedagon Pagoda and attended a meeting with the Treasurer's Board of Trustees at the meeting hall of the Board of Trustees office.

In the meeting, the Union Minister said that the Treasurer's Board of Trustees should comply with the Treasurer'sRules. There is a need to ensure that the Shwedagon Pagoda's security is not breached.

Arrangements must be made to help pilgrims perform their pilgrimage in accordance with the COVID-19 prevention guidelines and also to ensure that the religious buildings are not damaged by the weather, the Union Minister added. Members of the Treasurer's Board of Trustees gave a detailed explanation of formation of the Board and its tasks. This meeting ended with suggestions by the Union Minister.
