Religious Affairs: Union Minister discusses religious matters in Yangon

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko and officials paid homage to Theravada Buddhist Missionary Ovadasariya Sayadaws at Zabuthiri Beikman in Yangon on Sunday and supplicated religious affairs.

The Union Minsiter and officials receive the Five Precepts from Chairman Sayadaw of Theravada Buddhist Missionary Ovadasariya Committee Buddhanta Kumara and donated offertories.

The Union Minister and party then met patron, Vice Chairman and acting executive members of All Myanmar Hindu Central Council and Thanantana Dhamma Palaka Association.

At the meeting, the Union Minister discussed supporting for the selection of executive members of All Myanmar Hindu Central Council.

On the afternoon of that day, the Union Minister met with members of the Shwedagon Pagoda Treasury Board of Trustees and paid homage to the pagoda.

Later, he held talks with executive committee of Young Men's Buddhist Association at YMBA office and discussed functions of the YMBA and instructed the needs.
