Religious Affairs: Ruler, Deputy Rulers Elected

Dhamma WiNaYar NuLawMa Mula Dwarya Nikaya Sect elected ruler and 2 deputy rulers on Wednesday.

Members of the Sect attended the ceremony at MahaYarZiKaYone Monastery in Yangon. Vice Chairman Sayadaw of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Baddanta Cittra Nyarna (Magway Region) was elected as the ruler in the Sect, Baddanta Naryaka (Bago Region) and Baddanta Pyinnyar Tayhta  Yangon Region) were elected as the deputy rulers.

Presiding Sayadaw said “We have now elected the 14th ruler of our Dhamma WiNaYar NuLawMa Mula Dwarya Nikaya Sect. Members of the sect have to follow the ruler for promotion and propagation of Sasana.”

The 13th ruler of the Sect was Sayadaw Buddhinkura Mizzima Yone Monastery (Bago Region). The 14th ruler of the Sect was born in 7th waxing day of Kason, Myanmar lunar year of 1292.

Ruler, Baddanta Cittra Nyarna said “I began taking the responsibility in religious affairs in Myanmar lunar year of 1371. I was elected as Vice Chairman Sayadaw of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee in Myanmar lunar year of 1381. I will continue to work for promotion and propagation of Sasana.”

The ceremony continued with recitation of the sermons and came to a close with sharing the merits gained.
