Religious Affairs: Infrastructure improvement and Dhammacariya Exams

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin OoLwin, along with concerned officials, paid a visit to State PariyattiSasana University(Yangon) in Mayangone Township.

At the project briefing hall, they heard report on work completion of hostels and road paving presented by the Director of the Department of Buildings under the Ministry of Construction. After that, the Union Minister and party oversaw the status of work completion of hostels, construction of car parking, renovation of staff housing, 10,000 gallon water storage tank construction, fencing, outdoor electrification and its related works including land reclamation and landscaping improvement works.

The renovation of hostels have been implemented starting 2023-2024 fiscal year for peaceful accommodation of State Sangha MahaNayakaSayadaws and revered monks, in accordance with the instruction of the Chairman of the State Administration Council. In the afternoon, the Union Minister and party paid homage to monks and nuns who were taking the Dhammacariya exam at the SasanaBeikman examination center in MaeLaMu Pagoda precinct of North Okkalapa Township, Yangon.2024 Dhammacariya exams are being conducted at 67 exam centers in various regions and states including Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, starting from 28th of March.
