Religious Affairs: 2nd Day Session Of The Eleventh Plenary Meeting Held

The 8th 47-member State Sangha MahaNayaka Committee organized its 2nd day session of the eleventh plenary meeting in the MahaPasana Cave on ThiriMingalaKaba AyeHill in Yangon Tuesday.

The meeting was attended by members of the State Sangha MahaNayaka Committee led by BhamoSayadawDrBhaddanta Kumara Bhivamsa, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U KoKo, the director-general of the Religious Affairs Department and concerned officials. BhamoSayadawDrBhaddanta Kumara Bhivamsa presided over the meeting and Joint Secretary SayadawBhaddantaSandavamsaLankaraBhivamsa acted as the master of ceremonies.

At the meeting, Sayadaws reported on Vinicchaya, religious affairs and educational matters conducted during the term of eighth Sangha Nayaka Committee (second subcommittee).

Then, the Sayadaws made decisions on Vinicchaya and religious affairs and concluded the event. During the second session, the Sayadaws discussed and made decisions regarding Vinicchaya, and religious and educational matters. The Joint Secretary sought approvals for reports of the eighth Sangha Nayaka Committee (second subcommittee). It was followed by the successful completion of the eleventh plenary meeting of the 8th 47-member State Sangha MahaNayaka Committee.
