











The ceremony of curving Tri Pitaka treatises on stone slabs was organized at the Mara Vijaya Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Union Territorial Area on Saturday, the full moon day of Kason.
The ceremony was graced by Sayadaws led by Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Abbot of Bhamo Monastery, Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Deputy Chairman of the SAC Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win and many other officials.
The ceremony began with reciting Namotasa three times and continued with religious norms. Bhamo Sayadaw and Sitagu Sayadaw pressed the buttons to inaugurate the machines that will curve the Pitaka stone inscriptions.
The Senior General pressed the buttons of machines to curve the Pitaka stone inscriptions and sprinkled the scented water on them. They also viewed the curving processes of stone inscriptions using modern machinery.
The Senior General also reported on the completion of Part 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Buddha Image and Buddha Park constriction to Bhamo Sayadaw and Sitagu Sayadaw and sought advice from the Sayadaws.
The central stone plaque chamber will be 21 feet long, 21 feet wide and 27 feet high. The other stone plaque chambers will be 12 feet long, 12 feet wide and 18 feet high.
Upon completion, the stone plaques will be kept in the face-to-face direction of the Mara Vijaya Buddha Image as they bear the teachings of the Lord Buddha.
