










Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, Dr. Soe Win, and Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo on Thursday oversaw the damaged condition of Nat Ma Thout Creek Bridge and Bailey Bridge between Taung Po Thar Village and Ohn Pin Village due to torrential rainfall in Takone Township and gave necessary instructions for the renovation of the bridges.
Subsequently, the Union Minister and Council Chairman visited flood relief camp at Koe Khan Gyi Monastery in Kyi Taung Village of Zeyathiri Township, comforted them and provided cash assistance, blankets and drinking water. In the afternoon, the Union Minister received 36 million kyat cash assistance donated by Dongyi (Myanmar) Company for flood victims.
Next, the Union Minister, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and members visited flood relief camps at Gine Htauk Monastery and Padauk Chaung Monasery in Lewei Township, Ohn Taw Monastery in Pyimana Township, provided cash assitance, blankets, drinking water and foodstuff for the flood victims and gave necessary instructions on health and environmental conservation.
Over 34.4 million kyat worth of foodstuff and aids provided by the Ministry of Social Welfar, Relief and Resettlement are continuously provided to the flood victims within Nay Pyi Taw Council Area. Likewise, Nay Pyi Taw Council Natural Disaster Management Committee provides necessary assistance for the convenience of the flood victims.
