Relief Items: Assistance Provided to the Residents from the Villages in Pale Township

Assistance has been provided for the village residents in Pale Township of Sagaing Region, in order to ensure their livelihoods and resettlement in their places.

The villagers fled their homes due to the destructive acts by the NLD extremist supporters and PDF terrorists. On Thursday, Chief Minister of Sagaing Region, together with the Commander of Northwest Command and officials, met with the villagers from ZeePhyuKone and InMahtee Villages and provided security measures and basic needs. In ZeePhyuKone Village, Sagaing Region Government provided 9.3 million kyats, 31 bags of rice, 310 visses of edible oil and 4 million kyats for those who killed in the incidents, the Northwest Command provided dried fish, clothes and foodstuff and the Disaster Management Department under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided 7.76 million kyats for 31 households and relief items.

For InMahtee Village, the Regional Government provide 40.7 million kyats and 2 million kyats for two dead persons, the Northwest Command provided foodstuff and clothes and the Disaster Management Department provided over 44 million kyats for 219 households.
