







Tatmadaw regained control in parts of Bamaw in Kachin State, which were temporarily occupied by the KIA, AA and PDF terrorists. Starting March 2024, the armed terrorists had taken control of the key routes for border trade ineastern part of Kachin State, located in China-Myanmar border.
From April to August 2024, the terrorists invaded residential areas in Moe Mauk and Mansi townships to take shelters and launched drone and drop bombs attacks to local battalion. The terrorists took assist from PDF insurgents who were intimidating as local residents within Bamaw Township, continuing violent acts to take control over Bamaw Township, forcing local residents to flee their residential areas.
The Tatmadaw made strenuous efforts to reopen key roads and regain battalions, providing necessary aids for the locals via water route along Ayeyawady River despite drone and drop bombs disruptions of the terrorists. Tatmadaw continued to advance, consolidating territorial control and ensuring regional security through these ongoing efforts from January to February 2025.
Between August and early September 2025, Tatmadaw regained control of local battalions, wards, villages and security posts within and near Banmaw Township. From 4th December 2024 to 11th September 2025, Tatmadaw has engaged in 16 large battles and 490 exchanges of fire, resulting in seizure of 163 bodies of the terrorists along with 178 various arms and related materials with the minimum casualties on their side.
In addition to securing these regions, the Tatmadaw continues to work on restoring normalcy for the local population.
