






Myanmar Delegation led by Union Minister for Religious Affair and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin attended the Plenary Session of ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Council (ASCC) and Related Sessions from August 12 to 13 in Vientiane of Laos.
Laotian Minister of Culture, Tourism and Information Mrs. Suansavanh Viyaket served as the Chairperson of the Plenary Meeting, which was attended by ASCC Ministers from ASEAN member states, Members of Parliament, Eminent Persons, Alternate Chairpersons from related working groups, Deputy Secretary General and officials from ASEAN Secretariat and observers from Timor Leste.
During the Plenary session on August 12th, Union Minister U Tin oo Lwin made discussion, supporting the priory sectors of Loas and drafting the ASCC Post 2025 Strategic Plan. He also pledged for active participation in regional cooperation activities.
This was followed by the ASCC Council High-Level Interface with ASCC Eminent Persons, and the Union Minister discussed that the geopolitical and socio-economic changes in the next 10 to 20 years will inform strategies to adapt to ASEAN's regional identity and centrality, and these strategies are consistent with sustainable development for ASEAN citizens and the goal of promoting the development of socio-economic life.
On the 13th, the Union Minister attended the ASCC Council High-Level Interface with Chairs of the ASCC Sectoral Ministerial Bodies, and discussed the need to widely consider the challenges and opportunities to be faced in the future, emphasizing that the strategic foresight, flexibility and cross-sectoral collaboration is interrelated in effective implementation of ASCC's programs.
On the 14th, the Union Minister visited the Myanamar Embassy in Vientiane and met with Myanmar Embassy staff, calling them to be faithful to the state and the people upholding the Three Main Causes. The delegation led by the Union Minister departed arrived back in Myanmar on the same day.
