Regional Economy: Meeting With Entrepreneurs In Kachin State

A meeting with entrepreneurs from 114 companies to carry out ongoing construction tasks with the Kachin State’s Fund was held at the city hall in Myitkyina on Wednesday afternoon.

Kachin State Administration Council Chairman U Khet Htein Nan said that the State Administration Council would continue to carry out the tasks in accord with the contract as quick as possible without changing the existing rules adopted by the previous government.

He said that they will emphasized on the regional economy and commodity flow, acceleration in COVID-19 preventive measures, allowing of religious services in line with  COVID-19 guidelines and resettlement of displaced persons.

He called for all to cooperate for the improvement of socio-economic life of the people. The entrepreneurs reported on measures to relax tender rules and other issues.

In response to the reports, the Council Chairman fulfilled the needs and also discussed with the council members about matters on easing tender rules in line with procedures in implementing the tasks.
