Regional Development: Union Minister makes inspection tour to Pyin Oo Lwin

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yee together with Mandalay Region Chief Minister and officials visited National Kandawgyi Gardens (Pyin Oo Lwin) on Wednesday.

There, they inspected sanitation and beautifying tasks in the Garden, digging water channels, inflow of water into the garden and arrangement for better drainage system and gave necessary instructions.

The Union Minister then looked into Taung Pyo forest reserve, cherry plantations, watershed area plantations and conservation of natural forests and called for greening and beautifying of the environs of Hsin Lan dam, reducing silting in the dam and  promoting forest management through public participation.

The Union Minister met trainees and trainers at Myanmar Forest School in Pyin Oo Lwin and viewed around conducting trainings and coordinated essentials. He then looked into preservation of ancient building in Myanmar Land Record School, conducting trainings and display of teaching aids.
