







Mon State Chief Minister U Zaw Lin Tun attended handover ceremony of gymnasium in Technological University (Mawlamyaing), Tuesday.
At the event, the State Chief Minister said that the gymnasium was opened to emerge outstanding athletes for the nation while implementing human resource and sport sector development in Mon State. The chief minister also added that an advanced sports ground is also being constructed in Mon state and called for making efforts to turn out healthy and reliable persons for the State.
This multi-purpose gymnasium is a steel structure building and cost more than 349 million kyats. The State Social Affairs Minister provided sports gears and the pro-rector of the University spoke words of thanks. The Chief Minister and party then proceeded to ShweZiwa Fertilizer Plant in Mawlamyaing and called for production of quality fertilizers that are suitable with the region and distributing to farmers with a reasonable price and looked into production of biofertilizer.
The Chief Minister and party then paid homage to KyaikThalan pagoda in Mawlamyaing and viewed laying marble slabs on the pagoda platform and measures for better drainage system.
