Regional Cooperation: Meeting in Indonesia for regional victim assistance

Myanmar delegation led by U Aung Kyaw Moe, Director General from the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement joined the Regional Consultative Meeting on Promoting the Establishment of Regional Victim Assistance Network.

This meeting in Bali of Indonesia on December 5 focused on good practices obtained from national coordination meetings in Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Viet Nam, difficulties and recommendations for the establishment of a support network for people injured by landmines in the ASEAN region.

It also shared rehabilitation information, the need to provide development support only after the demining process has been completed, registration and support for persons with disabilities.
