






A Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Nyunt Win Swe returned to Yangon on Friday after attending the 2026 Global Public Security Cooperation Forum in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, China, from September 8 to 10.
The delegation attended the forum at the invitation of China’s Ministry of Public Security. On September 9, the Myanmar delegation met with a Chinese delegation led by Minister of Public Security Mr. Wang Xiaohong. They discussed cooperation between the two countries on security and law enforcement.
The Union Minister also attended the opening ceremony of the forum and delivered a speech. He said Myanmar supports international and bilateral cooperation to address cross-border security threats and welcomes China’s Global Security Initiative (GSI). He also highlighted cooperation in combating cross-border crimes, including online scam networks, through information sharing and law enforcement.
On September 10, the Myanmar delegation attended the launch of an international alliance to combat telecommunications-related and online fraud. The delegation also visited a public security technology exhibition. During the visit, Myanmar and China exchanged views on strengthening security and law-enforcement cooperation and achieved positive results.
