Region tourism sector: Sagaing Region Tourism Work Committee held meeting

The Chairman of Sagaing Region Tourism Work Committee, Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw attended the committee’s 11/2022 meeting held at the meeting hall of the region government in the morning on 16th December.

At the meeting, the Chief Minister said this meeting is held with the departmental personnel and private entrepreneurs to achieve the development of the Sagaing Region Tourism Industry. The hotel and guesthouse owners need to scrutinize the guests verifying the CSC and personal date with the awareness of security. The training regarding with hotel service and tourism service should be conducted to render the services meeting the standards and quality. All are urged to put efforts for the socio-economic life of the local people with the tourism industry.

Next, the vice chair of the region tourism industry work committee region minister for economic affairs Daw Yi Yi Than gave a remark regarding with the tourism industry of the region and the Head Officer of Region Directorate of Hotels and Tourism U Myint Sein clarified to allow annulment of Nan Htaik Yadana Hotel in Monywa and the license extension of ThaMeeLay Gueshouse in Monywa, Holiday Villa Guesthouse in Kalay and NgweDaGa Guesthouse in Shwebo Townships, the status of issuing hotel and guesthouse licenses, arrival of guests in the hotels, guesthouse and city development committee guesthouse and the arrival of travelers to the prominent destinations with the power point. 

Then, the attendees to the meeting gave necessary suggestions regarding the matters of tourism sector in the Sagaing Region.

In responding to the discussions and suggestions, the Chairman of Region Tourism Work Committee, Chief Minister coordinated necessaries and gave a speech of conclusion.

In Sagaing Region, during January to November of 2022, a total of 103144 local travelers and 1327 oversea travelers arrived, it’s reported.
