Region Investment Comm. Meeting : Taninthayi Region CM attended the meeting

The 6th meeting of the Tanintharyi Region Investment Committee was held at the region government office meeting hall in Dawei, on November 5.

At the meeting, the chairman of the regional investment committee, Chief Minister U Myat Ko, stated that based on investments in the region, the region government is working to provide employment opportunities, grant business operation permissions to investors, and facilitate the conduct of business activities.

He mentioned that if investments are made soon related to the Deep Sea Port, the region will benefit from many employment opportunities. With numerous investments, local residents will have better access to jobs and livelihoods. He emphasized the need for collective discussion regarding investments.

Subsequently, it was presented that AWBA SAN Co., Ltd., a 100% Myanmar Citizen-owned company, is operating a modern salt water prawn farming, production, and sales business on a 98-acre garden land area located in Pahtaw kyay Tine Pyin Field, Ma-Ai Village Tract, Kyunsu Township. Additionally, Nay La Yaung (Dawei) Co., Ltd. is conducting a drying elephant-foot-yam business on a 2.44-acre garden land area in Thabyar (A) Field, Thabyar Village Tract, Dawei Township. Members of the regional investment committee supplemented the discussion, and the region chief minister coordinated and facilitated the matters accordingly, it’s reported.
