Region Investment Comm. Meeting: Taninthayi Region CM addressed the meeting

The Taninthayi Region Investment Committee meeting (1/2026) was held on March 16 at the meeting hall of the Region Government Office in Dawei.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Region Investment Committee and Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko stated that investments in the region had experienced delays for various reasons. He mentioned that there is currently one business matter requiring a decision regarding investment. He emphasized that numerous investments must be undertaken with increased momentum for the region's development and stressed the need for collective assistance to ensure the region's progress.

Subsequently, discussions were held regarding the investment enterprises permitted by the Taninthayi Region Investment Committee during the tenure of the State Administration Council and the National Defence and Security Council. Additionally, a submission from Diamond Htee Khee ထီးခီး Co., Ltd., which is operating a hotel and resort construction and service provision business in Htee Khee ထီးခီး Village, Dawei Township, under permit No. (18/OSS), was reviewed. The company had requested a second extension of the construction period, and this matter was also discussed and clarified.

Following the supplementary discussions by Region Investment Committee members, the Region Chief Minister coordinated and facilitated the necessary arrangements, it’s reported.
