Refreshing Course: Capacity Enhancement Course For Civil Engineers Opened

The Union Minister for Electricity and Energy U Aung Than Oo gave a remark at the opening ceremony of refreshing course No (1) of capacity enhancement for the civil engineers held at the central training center of the Ministry, Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the union minister said that the facts to be considered in the construction of Green or Sustainable Building which can mitigate the environmental impacts and sustain the social environment and ecosystem will be discussed in the refreshing course, in the surveys conducting to implement the short and long term plans of electricity power plant projects, national grid and sub power station projects in regions and states including border regions, by discussing aerial photographing for the regions where are difficult for ground measurement, it will be easily carried out drawing map with the digital data gained from the photo and measuring level and size of the objects on the ground.

The essential works for the ministry such as installing sub power station and transmission line equipment in the power cable connection works, construction of sub power station building, ground preparations for sub power station, the facts and data to be taken into account in civil design calculating, the facts to be considered for geological engineering, quality assessment for building construction works and the knowledge on inspection of work completion will be lectured during the course. Afterward, the union minister cordially greeted the instructors and the trainees.
