Red Carpet Welcome: Senior General and Russian Army General Hold Meeting

The Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing was extended a red carpet welcome by Russian Army General Sergey Kuzhugetovich Shoigu on 22nd June.

After receiving the salute of the Guard of Honour, the Senior General and the Russian Army General inspected the Guard of Honour.

The welcoming ceremony was also attended by Council member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Moe Aung, Senior Military Officers from the Commander-in-Chief's Office, Myanmar Military to Russia Brig-Gen Kyaw Soe Moe and Russian Senior Military Officers.

Then, the Senior General and the Russian Army General held a meeting in which they discussed promoting friendly relations and cooperation between the two armies. They also talked about the participation of Myanmar Military in Military Skill Competitions and training in Russia.

 And exchanged views on political development in Myanmar and further cooperation measures between the two governments and armies. After the meeting, the Senior General and the Russian Army General exchanged commemorative gifts.
