Receiving UN Regional Directors: MIFER UM received WFP and UNOPS regional directors

Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations,Dr. Wah Wah Maung separately received Mr. Samir Sudhir Wanmali, Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific of the World Food Programme (WFP), and Mr. Sanjay Mathur, Asia Pacific Regional Director for the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), at the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Nay Pyi Taw, in the morning.

During the meeting, they frankly discussed matters related to ongoing humanitarian assistance, work plan that will be implemented in 2026, preparing for strategic work program (2027-2029) and future cooperation activities between Myanmar and WFP.Continuously, the Union Minister received Mr. Sanjay Mathur, Asia Pacific Regional Director for UNOPS and discussed exchanged views the ongoing cooperation programs in Myanmar, the future plans between Myanmar and UNOPS and rehabilitation process that effected by earthquake.The meetings were also attended by the Director-General and senior officials from the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, the representatives from the WFP and UNOPS Offices.
