Receiving Performance Troupe: MOI UM received Belarus performance troupe

In order to enhance the friendship between Myanmar and Belarus, the delegation led by Mr. Vladimir Sukolinsky, a musician and singer/songwriter from Belarus who is currently in Myanmar, and Mr. Alexander Ostrovsky, Vice Chairman of the Russia-Myanmar Friendship Association, met with the Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the Union Minister said that Belarus is a good friend of Myanmar and the two countries already have friendly relations. He believed that by holding such music performances, the familiarity between the peoples of the two countries would be enhanced like a connecting bridge.

He also said that the performance of the visiting troupe would be fully included and widely broadcast in MRTV news reports. He added that a joint music performance by Myanmar, Russia, and Belarus would continue to be held in Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw. Mr. Alexander Ostrovsky, Vice Chairman of the Russia-Myanmar Friendship Association, and Mr. Vladimir Sukolinsky, the musician and singer/songwriter leading the Belarus performance troupe, said that Myanmar has its own culture and the people are polite, courteous, and friendly.

They expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to hold such music performances, which serves as a bridge between the peoples of the two countries. The performance troupe has already performed in Mandalay and Pyin Oo Lwin and will continue to hold the Myanmar-Russia-Belarus tri-nation performance in Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw, it’s reported.
