Receiving delegation: MoNREC UM received a delegation of India

Union Minister U Khin Maung Yi attended the first collective tree-planting ceremony for the 2025 monsoon season of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, held at Plot No. 14, Yan Aung Myin Reserve, Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory in the morning of June 26.

First, the Union Minister led the planting of a commemorative teak tree in its designated spot, followed by the Deputy Minister and other attendees planting their respective commemorative trees in their assigned areas. After that, the Union Minister toured the site, observing and encouraging the participants as they planted saplings.

Also, the Union Minister received a delegation led by Mr. Abhay Thakur, Ambassador of India to Myanmar, at the Union Minister's office meeting room in Nay Pyi Taw. During the meeting, they held a candid and open discussion on ongoing cooperation between Myanmar and India. The discussions covered matters related to wildlife protection and potential bilateral cooperation in human resource development within the mining sector.
