Receiving Delegation of Indian Navy: C-in-CDS received delegation of Indian Navy

The Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, General Ye Win Oo, received a delegation led by the Chief of the Indian Navy, Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, at the Zeyathiri Villa Guest Hall in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday evening.

During the meeting, they cordially and openly discussed matters related to enhancing friendly relations and continued cooperation between the two countries and the two armed forces; the ability to build strong and friendly relations through mutual visits by leaders of the two countries and military leaders, matters concerning the exchange of goodwill visits at various levels between the two armed forces; arrangements for exchanging cultural and sports teams between the two armed forces; matters related to maritime trade; matters concerning the exchange of trainees, cooperation in joint military exercises to enhance capabilities between the two navies; matters concerning enhanced cooperation on border region security and stability, security cooperation to ensure there are no violent insurgents in the border regions of the two countries and matters regarding Myanmar continuing to pursue a balanced regional interest in accordance with the five principles of peaceful coexistence with neighboring countries, following the completion of a fair and dignified election and the formation of a government representing the people.

It is reported that they cordially and openly exchanged views on these matters and exchanged commemorative gifts.
