Rakhine State Day: PM sends message on the 48th anniversary day

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing sent a message on 48th Anniversary Rakhine State Day which falls on 15th December.

The Prime Minister wished for well-being of the national brethren residing in Rakhine State and the entire nation. Rakhine State Day is one of the significant day of Rakhine nationals. December 15th was designated as the Rakhine State Day according to the constitution enacted in 1974, and the celebration has been held annually.

The Prime Minister said according to the geographical condition, Rakhine State has difficult transportation access and left behind in development, compared to other areas. The successive government is prioritizing for development of Rakhine State.

The State Administration Council has formed the Central Committee Rakhine State’s Peace, Stability and Development and is implementing for development of agriculture, livestock breeding, education, health and socio-economic conditions. 10 billion budget was granted from State Economic Development Fund for development projects in Rakhine State.

The Prime Minister added that the Government is striving for national reconciliation and peace process in order to implement the harmonious development for all national brethren. Rakhine State is home for the ethnic tribes like Rakhine, Kaman, Khami, Daingnet, Mramagyi, Mro and Thet. Implementing peace and development of Rakhine State relies on the unity and union spirit of the ethnic people residing in Rakhine State.

The Prime Minister urged all to serve for the interest of the local people, state and nation based on the union spirit and patriotic spirit.
