Railway surpasses 1 million mark

The Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway (HSR), the first of its kind in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, has facilitated over 1 million passenger trips since its official commercial launch on October 17, as reported by the China State Railway Group Co. Ltd. on December 25.

With a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, the 142.3-km-long HSR shortens the journey between Indonesia's capital, Jakarta, and Bandung in West Java province from over three hours to around 40 minutes.
