

Vietnam’s Central midlands and northern mountainous regions are expected to experience heavy rain this weekend, with warnings of flash floods and landslides in effect.
Rainfall in these areas is forecasted to range from 30-70 mm, with some locations exceeding 150 mm. The intense rainfall may lead to local flooding, flash floods in small rivers and streams, and landslides on hillsides. In the plains, sporadic rainfall accompanied by gusty winds and lightning strikes is anticipated, particularly during the night and morning hours.
Additionally, thunderstorms with localized heavy rainfall exceeding 80 mm are expected in the Central Highlands and southern Vietnam on Saturday afternoon, with warnings of flooding, hail, lightning, and strong gusts of wind issued.
