






The sixth day of the Second Regular Session of the Third Pyithu Hluttaw was held today, June 11, at 10:00 a.m. in the Pyithu Hluttaw meeting hall in Nay Pyi Taw. Of the 351 representatives entitled to attend, 349 were present.
According to the agenda, the session began with a question-and-answer program. Among the questions raised were: U Kyaw Nyein Aung from Tachileik Constituency asked about the current status and completion progress of flood prevention and mitigation measures being carried out in Tachileik Township, Dr. Aung Gyi from Kyaiklat Constituency asked whether there were plans to introduce meter-based taxi services in the Nay Pyi Taw Council Territory, along with these, a total of eight questions were raised. Responses were given by Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thant Zaw Lwin, Deputy Minister for Transport U Aung Myaing, Deputy Minister for Digital Development and Communications U Thet Win Aung, and Deputy Minister for Education U Nay Myo Hlaing.
Afterward, the Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw submitted to the Hluttaw the list of 15 members of the Farmers Affairs Committee, including U Myat Kyaw from Kanbalu Constituency as Chairperson and U Win Htay from Lewe Constituency as Secretary. The Hluttaw approved the committee.
Next, the Speaker submitted the list of 15 members of the Committee on Youth, Women, Children, and Elderly Rights, including Daw Win Maw Tun from Yenangyaung Constituency as Chairperson and U Aung Naing from Waw Constituency as Secretary. The Hluttaw approved the committee.
The Speaker then submitted the list of 15 members of the Education Promotion Committee, including Dr. Hla Tint from Bahan Constituency as Chairperson and U Thet Naing Oo from Hpa-An Constituency as Secretary. The Hluttaw approved the committee.
Following that, the Speaker submitted the list of 15 members of the Domestic and Overseas Labor Affairs Committee, including U Tint Wai from Dagon Myothit (North) Constituency as Chairperson and U Aung Naing Oo from Pyigyitagon Constituency as Secretary. The Hluttaw approved the committee. The meeting was then temporarily adjourned, it’s learnt.
