Pyithu Hluttaw Session: 4th day of 2nd regular session of Pyithu Hluttaw held

The fourth day of the Second Regular Session of the Third Pyithu Hluttaw was held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Pyithu Hluttaw meeting hall at the Hluttaw building in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the session, Deputy Minister for National Planning, Investment and Foreign Economic Relations U Kyaw Htin and Deputy Minister for Electric Power and Energy U Aye Kyaw responded to questions raised by U Hla Swe of the Pobbathiri constituency, U Sai Sam of the Mong Yang constituency, U Kyaw Nyein Aung of the Tachileik constituency, U Thein Tun Oo of the Amarapura constituency, and U Win Myint of the Twante constituency.

Following this, the Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw sought the Hluttaw’s approval regarding the formation of the Health and Sports Committee, as well as explanations concerning the committee’s duties, powers, rights, term, and meetings.

As the Hluttaw agreed, it was announced that the committee had been formed with 15 members, including Dr. Myo Tun from the Lashio constituency as Chairman and Dr. Nay Lin from the Hmawbi constituency as Secretary. The Hluttaw also approved the committee’s duties, powers, rights, term, and meetings.

Next, the Speaker submitted to the Hluttaw the proposal to form the Border Areas, Ethnic Affairs and Peace Committee, and the Deputy Speaker explained the committee’s duties, powers, rights, term, and meetings.

Afterwards, the Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw informed the Parliament that the Border Areas, Ethnic Affairs and Peace Committee would be formed with 15 members, with U Soe Tint Naing from Magway constituency serving as Chairman and U Ye Htut Aung from Minhla constituency serving as Secretary.

The fourth day of the Second Regular Session of the Third Pyithu Hluttaw was then adjourned, and it was announced that the fifth day of the session would be held on June 10, it’s learnt.
