Pyin Oo Lwin flower festival: Festival will take place for a month

At the PyinOoLwin National Kandawgyi Garden, flower festival is going to be held back again showcasing several flower decorations different from the previous years.

The 15thPyinOoLwin flower festival will take place for a month from 15th December 2022 to 15th January 2023.Since 2019, the festival has been suspended for nearly two years at the PyinOoLwin National Kandawgyi Garden due to Covid-19 pandemic. Now, the Flower festival is to be resumed in 2022 after virus hiatus.

Executive Director, Pyin Oo Lwin National Kandawgyi Garden, Wai Myo Aung said "This year's flower festival theme is Blooming pendency.The festival will last one month.This year's festival is different from previous festivals because the festival was conducted by collaboration with experts from Rain Forest Company of Thailand. We have made the preparations for the festivals 2 months ago.You can see a lot of landscaping changes at the festival."

This year flower festivals has reduced the use of gluing flowers and will showcase more the planting of real flower plants.

Nearly 300,000 flowers of 26 foreign species will be showcased at the festival.
