Public Transportation: Over 18 mil cubic feet of CNG distributed daily

There are 40 CNG filling stations in Yangon region and they sell more than 18 million cubic feet of CNG gas per day to the CNG used YBS buses, taxies and other vehicles in Yangon. 

Kyaw Thura Win, General Manager, Natural Gas Vehicle Department, said " We distribute natural gas produced from Nyaungdon-Maubin oil and gas field to the CNG filling stations in Yangon Region. Currently, we mainly distribute the natural gas from Zawtika and Yadanar gas field depending on the demand. We are distributing and selling around 18 million cubic feet of CNG per day."

The official of the Natural Gas Vehicle Department said that they are providing measures for safety and smooth transportation of passengers and drivers in Yangon Region and distribute CNG gases from 5 am to 10 pm daily.
