The Information Team of the State Security and Peace Commission issued a statement on Tuesday. It stated that due to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, there have been disruptions in shipping routes for fuel imports. As a result, starting from March 7, 2026, the fuel usage restrictions will apply to the commuters.
Private vehicles must follow odd/even number plate rules for usage. For example, vehicles with an even number can operate on even dates and vice versa. Electric vehicles can operate daily. Public transport, taxis, construction vehicles, cargo vehicles, ambulances, and waste collection vehicles are allowed to operate daily. It is prohibited for both businesses and the public to hoard fuel or engage in price hikes and resale. These rules will remain in effect until further notice, and violations will be dealt with according to existing laws.
