




Starting from September 2022, the Ministry of Health has been able to offer the cost out-of-hospital medical treatment for government employees throughout Myanmar when they receive at public hospital. More than 1.9 million kyats have been provided for the medical expenses of 7 public employees from respective ministries serving duties in Mon State.
Departmental Head, Department of Public Health ( Mon State ) , Nanda Win said "Public hospitals have been providing free medical treatment for the government employees. In addition to the free treatment, a reimbursement scheme was launched in September 2022 with the approval of relevant doctors. The hospital expenses of 7 government employees from various departments such as health, land survey, electrical power and law were submitted the verification to Nay Pyi Taw and more than 1.9 million kyats were provided with this approval. "
In order not to incur debt and to be convenient for the patients, arrangements are being made to provide the cost of not more than 500,000 kyats within a week with the full approval of the relevant doctors and hospital superintendents.
This plan will continue to be carried out the nationwide. The participants at Social security board are not eligible for this scheme and this scheme will be carried out for the rest of the civil servants who are not the members of SSB.
