Providing school materials: School materials provided in BEMS (Laukphan)

At the Basic Education Middle School (Laukphan) in Naungcho, the Government and the Tatmadaw presented textbooks, school uniforms, and stationery to students returning to school in Naungcho Township, Shan State (North) on 27th July.

The event was attended by Tatmadaw officials, the Kyaukme District Administrator, departmental officials, teachers, students, and parents. First, Colonel Myint Hein delivered an opening speech. Following this, officials presented 150 sets of textbooks, 50 dozens of pencils, 300 ball-pens, and 150 sets of school uniforms, provided by the Government and the Tatmadaw, to the students, who gratefully received them.

The Government is committed to ensuring that all school-aged children can attend school and learn in a peaceful and happy environment. In Naungcho, where terrorist insurgents previously had temporary control, the Tatmadaw, departmental staff, and the public are collaborating to ensure that students can learn in peace, just like their counterparts in other stable regions.
