







A ceremony to present food supplies to members of security forces serving national defence and security duties was held on December 16 at the Rakhine State Government Guest House. Executive Chief of the National Defence and Security Council Office, U Aung Lin Dwe, attended and provided food supplies.
First, Executive Chief U Aung Lin Dwe expressed his recognition and appreciation to all members of the security forces who are energetically carrying out security duties for stability, peace, and the rule of law in Rakhine State. He also acknowledged the dedication and spirit shown by the personnel in serving the nation.
He urged them to continue performing their duties with even greater effort than before, in accordance with existing laws and based on pure goodwill and commitment, in order to prevent loss or damage to the lives and property of the people. Next, the Executive Chief presented food supplies to the members of the security forces who are serving national defence and security duties.
Subsequently, the Executive Chief and officials visited and paid homage at the Lokananda Pagoda, where they offered flowers, water, and oil lamps, and donated cash contributions for renovation and maintenance works of the pagoda. Then, they inspected the construction status of two steel-structure glass shrines, each measuring 27 feet 11 inches in length, 21 feet 9 inches in width, and 15 feet in height. These structures are being built to house the Maravijaya Buddha Image and Abhaya Rajamuni Buddha Image enshrined on the pagoda platform, so that the public may pay homage in safety and to protect the images from seawater salinity and natural disasters.
Responsible officials provided briefings on the progress of the works. Afterwards, the Executive Chief and officials paid homage to the Maravijaya Buddha Image and the Abhaya Rajamuni Buddha Image, and inspected the completion status of heat resistant marvel tiles paving works laid on the pagoda platform.
Subsequently, the Executive Chief and officials proceeded to inspect the ongoing construction of an earthen access road measuring 1,580 feet in length, leading from the front of the Allodawpyi Monastery to Sittwe Airport. Following briefings by responsible officials on the progress of the works, the Executive Chief provided necessary guidance and conducted an inspection along the entire road by vehicle.
