Providing Essential Food Items: Kayah State CM attended the event

An event to present essential food items to people returning to Loikaw from their temporary displacement was held at the State Hall in Loikaw in the morning on July 22nd. Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin, members of the State Government, departmental officials, and local residents attended the event.

First, the Chief Minister delivered an opening speech, stating that the basic food items such as rice and oil are being provided to ensure immediate food security for the returning citizens. He emphasized that the State Government is systematically working to enable returning residents to live back in their homes and is also prioritizing security, peace, stability, and the rule of law.

Following the speech, the Chief Minister presented essential food items, including rice and oil, to the representatives of residents from Hteithama , Maing Lon , Daw Aukhu , Naung Yar (A), Naung Yar (B), and Nanattaw နာနတ်တော wards. A representative, on behalf of the people, expressed gratitude for the assistance.

Subsequently, attendees raised concerns regarding the resumption of agricultural and livestock farming, and access to electricity and water. The Chief Minister addressed these points by coordinating with relevant officials on the planned actions and discussing necessary arrangements. He also cordially greeted and encouraged all attendees.

During the event, the Kayah State Government provided 186 bags of rice and 372 viss of oil for 744 individuals who have returned to various wards in Loikaw from temporary displacement. This marks the third time such assistance has been provided, it’s reported.
